Hi! I’m Shana Draugelis, a 30-something mom who (mostly) stays at home. Mostly.
I stay at home because I love it. I don’t usually find staying-at-home boring, or un-stimulating. I’m not always starved for adult conversation. I play. Hard. I take things easy when I can. Cooking and mess-making are my specialties. Thankfully, I’m married to the most understanding guy on the planet.
This is Mike. My best friend and the love of my life. With our little Pax.
Our oldest son, Raines, is the light that started us on this crazy journey. His birth was hard. I’m crazy-lucky to still be here, and I haven’t yet lost that sense of…wow.
This blog is my outlet. It’s how I process life – both good and bad, funny and heart-breaking. I can’t make any promises about what you’ll find here (other than countless pictures of my kids).
But I do promise to work on my photography so the kid pictures are somewhat entertaining.
I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, so, uh, yeah. There’s that.
In my spare time (snort), I write the mom fashion blog, Ain’t No Mom Jeans. I also write over at Mom.me. Feel free to shoot me an email at sdraugelis (at) gmail (dot) com.
Thanks for reading!
Shana
How funny….my name is Shana and I have a son, Pax! What are the odds…..? I’ll start reading!
Shana – NO WAY!! LOL! And here I thought we were so unique. 🙂 How do you pronounce your name? “Shayna” or “Shanna”?
A friend of mine sent me your blog because I am going through the same things you are with breast cancer. I had a double mastectomy with tissue expanders done on the 11th of July and started chemo on August 30th. I am 36 with two young kids (1 and 3) and can totally understand what you are going through. This past week was my second round and made me feel like I was in hell. I also said that I refuse to do another round, but I know I will…
